I entered the Frazer Gerhards store after looking at the website and receiving a few mailers. This was April 2008. I decided that the sales person was nice and the showrom was clean. I bought a total of 4 new appliances - all for my kitchen. Once my new dishwasher was installed I called that same day to explain to the sales person that my dishwasher did not work.

6 months later I am left with the same unit that does not work. I have tried to work with the sales person, the store manager, the subcontractor, the repair sevice yet I have not had any success. I spend hours a week on the phone trying to get answers. I am always given another number to call or another route to go or another excuse!

They have come out several times admitting that the unit is not working propperly yet they do not replace the unit. It has been a total of 6 months with a broken dishwasher. Please DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING from this store - they do not stand by the warranty of the products they sell. They do not care about customer service - they are rude and not helpful and FULL OF EXCUSES!!!

Custoemr Service is not what they do. The salesperson have attitudes that make you want to run away.

They act as if doing their job is such an inconvenience. Such a shame . Never count on your delivery date or a preferred range of hours. Never happen.

I you wnat afternoon you will always get evening.

They spend alot of time telling you what they cannot do for you instead of what they can make hgappen and pass onto future or repeat business. Thought was good but disappointed.

I see Gerhard's reassuring response dated 8/2009. Guess what?

We made a huge (for us) purchase there recently and our experience echoes the above. Committed to buying local we place our $8,000 into Gerhard's hands and were met with utter indifference, even attitude. Gene rarely called up back or followed up with questions or concerns. It was like pulling teeth to make this purchase.

Utterly disappointing in all respects - the experience, the product and the many years ahead we have to live with it. Thanks a lot Gerhard's.

It may have been a lesser sale by your standards, but it was the purchase of a lifetime for us. Too late for us, but I can make sure the next guy is informed ...

Horrible experience with indifferent, or even argumentative sales people in Ardmore. Messed up order multiple times.

Didn't tell me fridge was back ordered when i bought it. Only found out when other appliances were delivered. On next delivery dishwasher had big dent in it. They then had the nerve to ask me to sit around waiting on my third 3-4 hour delivery window.

No thanks. Avoid these clowns.

here is the mother of all complaint, these guys -gary .frank,phone answering persons all have one thing in common --0%customer care and to give the customer ,runaround untill we tired of complaining or forget all issue and swallow the insult. I paid for dryer and washer in nov2009 and instead of Bosch they showed up with junk appliance from different mfgrs.

they promised to comeback with correct appliance and i have been visiting their all the stores more than 10+ times and trying to hunt down gg and making 50+ telephones.

it seems bbb/state consumers dept or class action law suites are the best bet. we got stuck with this junk people but i hope other will not.

DO NOT deal with the Frazer store. As mentioned above: they are rude, they do not return phone calls, they will not help with parts orders and will avoid doing any follow-up work.

I spoke to Gerry Gerhard on a Sunday, never heard back from him, spoke to someone else on Monday and he never returned the call, spoke to Helen on Tuesday and she told me to call the Glenside store to find Gerry. I asked her to locate Gerry and/or find out the status of my order.

Her response: "I'm not gettin' involved!"

That's customer service??? Do yourself a favor ==> spend your time & money elsewhere.

The Doylestown store doesn't know customer service either. In fact, the store manager (our salesperson) did not call to follow up after we placed our order and was put-off when we had to call her to check on the status of our order.

She did not return calls and was rude and condescending when we finally received a return call after we contemplated a report to the better business bureau. This was the worst customer service experience ever for us.

I have stopped in on numerous occasions to the Doylestown store after reading their bate adds.

The sales people are rude and condisending. As a result I have end up making my appliance purchase some place else.

Years ago when they had one store Gerhard's was a good place to buy any type of appliance. Now that the sons are running things they have totally lost their focus on the customer.

I have experienced very poor service after buying a dishwasher in August, 2009, the people scheduling service were so difficult to deal with I actually drove to the Frazier store to try and schedule service. The days of buying products from independent / small businesses are over, sadly

We here at Gerhard's are terribly sorry to here about this experience. We by no means intended for your problem to fall by the wayside. Unfortunately, until now we did not have a process to deal with such issues.

In order to better serve our customers, we have just established a new Customer Service Department, with hopes of creating a more effective avenue of communication, and address issues such as the one detailed above.

I completely disagree with this review.

Since I moved to the area almost seven years ago Gerhard's has been my local source for appliances and home theater equipment. I have bought dozens of appliances from them - from TVs to dishwashers, washing machines to microwaves, and everything in between - and I have never had a negative experience.

I am a proud supporter of small local businesses. I think in these times its even more important to purchase goods locally, and its up to all of us to do our part to sustain our local economy.

Also, all those big-box retailers could never compare to the personal one-on-one service that I've received from Gerhard's over the years. And they somehow always manage to have great deals on whatever I need for my home.

Gerhard's is my only source for household appliances - I wouldn't shop anywhere else.
