Awful
Absolutely awful. Purchased a washer and dryer, over a 1000 dollar purchase, took a day off for delivery---NOTHING.
I called and they told me I was scheduled for delivery in two weeks, that the dryer was not even in stock which is the exact OPPOSITE of what they told me when I handed the money over for purchase. The woman on the phone kept getting defensive, saying "I am very sorry, " over and over, but had not plan to get me my delivery any sooner than in two weeks.
A family-run business that USED to have a great reputation , now seems seedy and dishonest. Avoid this place if you can.

Bought an expensive range and hood. Delivery was scheduled and they never showed.
Rescheduled but never told me. It was just a random day that i never agreed to. Installed the hood using wrong screws in the hood, dented 2 sets of filter covers and cracked my cabinet overtightening the wrong screw. No communication from installers to service dept.
They were going to call to send out another installer to fix but again just chose a random day and didnt tell me. Hood isnt working or installed after a month. Nobody at the store really seems all that interested. No follow up unless I call.
Then i just get passed to a voicemail . Calling my lawyer and reporting to bbb.

Gerhards Appliance is very reliable
I just purchased a whole kitchens worth of appliances from Gerhards. I accepted delivery and had my contractor do the full installation.
After install I noticed the dishwasher door would not open properly. I called Gerhards and spoke to their customer service team. They sent out one of their techs the very next day. He noticed the hinge had popped out of the bracket.
He fixed it on the spot. The customer service was amazing. To be honest my contractor probably pulled the door off the hinge but Gerhards didn't even question it. Its nice to make a purchase for such a large sum of money and have a reliable store behind the purchase.
The fact that they do their own service is why i will always buy here and no where else! Job well done.

Did not honor the price of the appliance
Purchased several high end appliances for the kitchen including 2 Miele dishwashers and a Kitchen Aid ice maker 2 months ago. Quoted one price on the phone for the ice maker which was charged to my credit card and then started to receive invoices after it was installed claiming I did not pay the tax on the ice maker.
I had specifically asked the sales person Lee on the phone that the amount to be charged to my credit card was the amount in full. This was my second and last experience with Gerhard's. In 2013, we were in the market for a new washer and dryer and were interested in LG products. Our old washing machine stopped working and we needed the appliances quickly.
They promised they were in stock but when we called to confirm delivery, they were no longer available in the warehouse and we obtained the LG washer/dryer from Sears at a better price and with immediate delivery.

I did the same and have had nothing but problems with Gerhards. I'll never go back there.
