I purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio washer 3 years ago. I also purchased a 5 year extended warranty through Gerhards.

My washer is now broken and has been for 3 weeks. After waiting for a week and a half for the part to come in, the service man left saying it was fixed. I ran the first load and it was not fixed at all. When I called he said, "oh yes, I thought that might be a problem." I was told the new part would be rushed in and the day I was told by the service man he would come out, I called to ask why an appointment hadn't been scheduled.

They told me the warranty company, New Lease, was supposed to call me 5 days ago and offer me a buyout. They then offered me $93 for my 3 year old washer that has a 5 year warranty. I have called almost every day and am now being told that John Gerhard, Director of Service, is taking care of it. However, that was 6 days ago and he has not called me or returned my call.

I cannot believe that they will not stand by their warranty. I chose them trying to keep business local, but they will not get my business again.

Reason of review: Warranty issue.
